Also, regardless of whether a person would wait that long irl or not (I probably would lol), this is a fantasy video game. We can pretend that our Hawkes would wait that long, because it’s not that long for US, the players. We see that he needs to think about things on his own, so we let him think for a few hours and he’s back! All the while, in the story, we have some very faithful Hawkes! xDDD

Except fanfiction isn’t canon. It doesn’t change the canonical dynamics of a relationship between the two.
And even if the fanfiction was very in-character and told an abusive relationship, as it would be, not everyone is going to find that to be their cup of tea.

Commissioned work aside, artists can draw whatever they want, whenever they want, and however much they want. It’s THEIR website/blog, they can post 190293289 random doodles or WIPs if they so choose. Because maybe it’s those doodles that make them happy or help them de-stress. Or maybe they enjoy showing their art progress, whether they intend to finish or not. It doesn’t necessarily mean they are being lazy, or that they are “wasting
